WHO:             Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, and Director of Public Health Dr. Jonathan E. Fielding.

 

WHAT:           Will hold a press conference to announce a county proposal to implement mandatory menu labeling for fast food and chain restaurants.  The proposed ordinance would require such restaurants to post the total number of calories for a menu item on the menu board, at a customer’s point of purchase, and provide other nutritional information in the restaurant.
