CS-1.   CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION

             (Subdivision (a) of Government Code Section 54956.9)

 

             Natural Resources Defense Counsel v. Stephen L. Johnson, U.S.

             District Court, Central District Case No. 06-4843

 

             This lawsuit seeks to require the United States Environmental

             Protection Agency to conduct studies and adopt criteria for water

             quality standards at beaches.    (08-1860)

 

ACTION TAKEN

 

The Board authorized settlement of the case entitled Natural Resources Defense Counsel v. Stephen L. Johnson.  The terms of the agreement will be made available after approval by all parties.

 

The vote of the Board was unanimous with all Supervisors being present.
