| ANTONOVICH CALLS FOR STUDY ON ORGANIC FOODS | ||

| LOS ANGELES COUNTY – To protect and inform consumers, the Board of Supervisors approved a motion by Supervisor Antonovich directing the Chief Executive Officer and the County’s Agricultural Commissioner to conduct a study to determine the accuracy of organic claims made by supermarkets. “Consumers have the right to know that foods advertised as organic are grown free of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, antibiotics or genetic modification,” said Antonovich. | ||
