Obesity Weighing Down the Economy?

Diabetes, heart disease, missed work...we know eating too much and spending too much time on the sofa has costs. But a new study from the California Center for Public Health Advocacy has put numbers on those costs. By looking at health care data and other science, the group estimates that LA County alone loses some $11.9 billion from obesity.
