Presiding Judge Addresses Media about

Court Budget, furlough Operations


WHO:             Los Angeles Superior Court Presiding Judge Charles W. “Tim” McCoy Jr.


WHAT:           News conference detailing operations on the court’s Wednesday, July 15th furlough – the first of 12 scheduled for the Los Angeles Superior Court system through June 2010.  Among the topics he will discuss:


      • Critical services
      • Budget shortfall  
      • Staff impact
      • Countywide court operations 
      • Bench officers’ contributions 


WHEN:          2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009


WHERE:        North plaza adjacent to U.S. Flag’s pole and the Grand Avenue entrance of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse at 110 N. Grand Ave., Los Angeles 90012.


WHY:             Due to critical court budget shortfall, historic furlough program implemented.
