LOS ANGELES COUNTY – Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich will join local officials and the community in welcoming the 12th Annual Metrolink Holiday Toy Express as it rolls into the Burbank and Glendale Stations.
The 450-ton train will be decked out with 50,000 twinkling lights, life-sized holiday displays, and a stage show featuring Santa and all his friends. Each year, the “Spark of Love” Toy Drive collects new, unwrapped toys and sporting equipment to be distributed to less-fortunate children throughout Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Orange Counties. “Spark of Love” is operated by an advisory council of Southern California Firefighters.
The Holiday Toy Express schedule can change with the weather, since the train cannot roll in the rain. Please check the Metrolink Web site for schedule updates. For train schedules and directions to the nearest Metrolink station check at www.metrolinktrains.com or call (800) 371-LINK.
