Coroner Case #2008-07911 – JOHN DOE # 242

 

The County of Los Angeles Department of Coroner is seeking the public’s help with the identification of an unidentified male. He is a Hispanic male, believed to be between 30-40 years of age.  He is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. On November 12, 2008 at approximately 1:10 am, he was walking eastbound in a marked crosswalk at 105^th & Central Avenue in Los Angeles when he was struck by a car.  He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.  A legal document from El Salvador was found in his backpack with the name Jose Alvaro Montano and a birth date of 09/20/1973.  We have thus far been unable to verify this information.
