SIERRA HIGHWAY AND SOLEDAD CANYON ROAD ARE REOPENED

 

 

Headquarters - Public Work officials announce the reopening of Sierra Highway between Vasquez Canyon Road and Avenue S and Soledad Canyon Road between Lang Station and Sierra Highway (Palmdale).  These roadways were closed yesterday due to severe snow and ice conditions. 

 

Although the highway is open to motorists, the public is urged to drive safely and to pay special attention in the late afternoon and evening as snow melt will once again freeze on the pavement creating slippery conditions.
