CELEBRATING GREEN SPACE IN THE WINTER -- MOLINA AND MORE THAN 1,200 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES CELEBRATE PARK IMPROVEMENTS AT CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY DINNER AND TOY GIVEAWAY

VALINDA (December 10, 2008) – Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina and Bassett community celebrate vast improvements to one of the San Gabriel Valley’s largest community county parks  during 12th Annual Bassett Park Holiday Dinner and Toy Giveaway.

Youths of the Associated Parks Council, the Bassett Soccer League, National Soccer League and community volunteers, who have

been instrumental in the planning of the park’s improvements, organize the annual event.  Improvements include new soccer fields, renovated skate park, decorative fencing and picnic benches.

 

WHAT:           COMMUNITY HOLIDAY CELEBRATION DINNER AND TOY GIVE AWAY

 

Families and children have traditional dinner and enjoy performances by Mariachi and Childrens Ballet Folklorico de Carolina.  Santa Claus gives toys to the children.
