3:30 press conference: Public help asked in kidnapping of 12-year-old girl

 

 

DETECTIVES SEEK THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN THE INVESTIGATION OF THE KIDNAPING OF A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD EAST LOS ANGELES GIRL

 

 

WHO:              SERGEANT RUBEN NAVA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.

 

WHAT:            EAST LOS ANGELES SHERIFF’S STATION DETECTIVES ARE SEEKING THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN A KIDNAPING INVESTIGATION.  ON MARCH 27, 2009, AT 4:00 P.M., A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD GIRL WAS KIDNAPED IN THE 200 BLOCK OF MEDNIK AVENUE, LOS ANGELES, AS SHE WALKED HOME FROM SCHOOL.  THE VICTIM WAS ULTIMATELY ABLE TO ESCAPE.  THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE SUSPECT HAD STALKED THE VICTIM FOR THREE MONTHS.  SERGEANT NAVA WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEW AT THE INDICATED TIMES.
