The Employer Workshop, a nationally recognized free workshop for employers and payroll professionals, returns to the South Bay on Thursday, May 28. The workshop seeks to improve the collection of child support for families and children in L.A. County by providing employers with training and updates on requirements for child support wage withholding and health insurance enrollment.
The L.A. County Child Support Services Department will stage the Workshop at the South Coast Botanic Gardens, 26300 Crenshaw Boulevard in Palos Verdes Peninsula from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This workshop is being held in the Fourth Supervisorial District of L.A. County Supervisor Don Knabe who is a strong supporter of improving the collection of child support to help County families.
The Employer Workshop is free. All registered attendees receive a free Child Support Resource Book for Employers, free parking and a continental breakfast. The Workshop provides helpful information on the child support wage withholding and health insurance enrollment requirements. Employers also will learn more about the State Disbursement Unit (SDU), the centralized payment processing center of the California Department of Child Support Services, which is responsible for collecting and distributing all child support payments from employers.
