SUPERVISOR RIDLEY-THOMAS PRAISES PRESIDENT

BARACK OBAMA’S FIRST 100 DAYS IN OFFICE

LOS ANGELES – Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas today said President Barack Obama  “has succeeded in restoring much-needed confidence in the ability of the White House to lead America” during his first three months in office.

“As we approach the 100-day milestone of President Obama's first term, I am not surprised by his popularity and soaring approval ratings, as the nation is finally comforted knowing it now has a leader with integrity and fresh ideas to move the country forward,” the Supervisor said.

According to a new study of press coverage by the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism, President Obama has received substantially more positive media coverage than either Bill Clinton or George Bush during their first few months in the White House.

“With his bold, energetic and thoughtful solutions that make Americans believe in their president, themselves, their country, and most importantly, one another, I look forward to President Barak Obama’s next 100 days and beyond,” the Supervisor said.
