Sheriff graduates inmates in transformation program

LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

M.E.R.I.T. PROGRAM GRADUATION

WHO: ASSISTANT SHERIFF MARVIN CAVANAUGH, CHIEF ALEXANDER YIM AND DIRECTOR KAREN DALTON, LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.

WHAT: THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT'S MAXIMIZING EDUCATION REACHING INDIVIDUAL TRANSFORMATION (M.E.R.I.T.) PROGRAM IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE GRADUATION OF 75 STUDENTS. THE GRADUATES COMPLETED A 12-WEEK COURSE, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: LIFE SKILLS, ANGER MANAGEMENT, DRUG REHABILITATION, OCCUPATION PREPARATION AND RESUME TRAINING. SENTENCED STUDENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEWS FOLLOWING THE GRADUATION CEREMONY.
