DA's Office honors family for courage at Long Beach ceremony

A man, his wife and their son who were fired upon by Long Beach gang members only to survive and testify against their attackers will be honored tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 18, at a District Attorney's Courageous Citizens Awards Ceremony in Long Beach.

The family members are among five people to be honored for their courage at the ceremony aboard the Queen Mary. The awards will be presented at a luncheon hosted by the Rotary Club of Long Beach in the ship's Grand Salon. The luncheon is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Assistant District Attorney Jacquelyn Lacey will present the awards.
