ANTONOVICH PAYS TRIBUTE TO FALLEN HEROES IN SEPTEMBER 11th ANNIVERSARY STATEMENT
LOS ANGELES COUNTY – Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich issued the following statement on the seventh anniversary of September 11:
“Today, we pay tribute to the thousands of innocent victims who died on September 11, 2001 in New York, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon.
I was in Washington D.C. that day and witnessed the aftermath of the attack on the pentagon.
Our county will continue to acknowledge the brave firefighters, police officers, and citizens who sacrificed their lives on that fateful day.
The county has officially declared September 11 as ‘Patriot’s Day’ to remember those who died and to honor the courageous police, fire, emergency personnel and civilians and salute our armed forces serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world.”
