Villaraigosa's Crazy Calendar By Walter Moore, Candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles, WalterMooreForMayor.com September 14, 2008 I hope that by now you've read "The All-About-Me Mayor: Antonio Villaraigosa's Frenetic Self-Promotion" by Patrick Range McDonald, in the L.A. Weekly, about how little time Villaraigosa actually spends doing his job. If you'd like to see Villaraigosa's actual calendar entries, it just so happens that yours truly obtained several years' worth through a public records request in February 2008. Villaraigosa's calendar is just plain weird, an endless series of brief, disconnected interruptions -- very Billy Pilgrim. On July 12, 2005, for example, he actually scheduled 15 minutes for a photo-op at the snack shop on the second floor of City Hall, one floor below his office. Who does that? Unlike Villaraigosa, I know what "full-time job" means. If elected, I'll work full-time running the City -- not running from one photo-op to another. Anyway, set forth below are links to the first few volumes of Villaraigosa's calendar, which I've already posted. I'll post more in coming days. Note: the files are big, so they will take a while to load. But that's okay, because while you're waiting, you can write a check to the Committee to Elect Walter Moore Villaraigosa's Calendar - Part 1 (2.2 megabytes) Villaraigosa's Calendar - Part 2 (3 megaybytes) Villaraigosa's Calendar - Part 3 (3.6 megabytes) |
