OVER 600 SENIORS EXPECTED TO ATTEND LADERA SENIOR AND COMMUNITY CENTER HEALTH FAIR
WHAT: County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, the United Homeowners Association, Inc. and the Ladera Heights Civic Association will host a free community health and craft fair on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ladera Park’s Senior and Community Center. Approximately 600 residents are expected to attend. Participating vendors will include the American Cancer Society, L.A. Health Care, Alzheimer’s Association, Diabetes Foundation and the American Heart Association. Participants will receive free vision, dental, osteoporosis, HIV/AIDS and blood pressure screenings. Citizens of all ages are welcomed to participate in cooking demonstrations, yoga instructions and strength training. There will also be free giveaways, store coupons and professional consultations.
