firefighting aircraft media day rescheduled for FRIDAY

2008 FIRE SEASON

FIREFIGHTING AIRCRAFT

 MEDIA DAY

 

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman in partnership with Fire Chief Douglass Barry of the Los Angeles Fire Department, will host a joint media day to highlight the firefighting air resources that will be available for the 2008 Fire Season. The recent arrival of the two Canadian CL-415 SuperScooper firefighting aircraft that complement the existing fleet of air resources from both the Los Angeles County and Los Angeles Fire Departments will be on display. 

The media will have an opportunity to speak to representatives from both Fire Departments who will be able to discuss their firefighting roles. Crew members of Qebec 1 and 2 as well as the helitankers will be available for comments.
