COUNTY SUPPORTS FUND TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR
METROLINK CRASH VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES
LOS ANGELES COUNTY – To assist the victims and families affected by the tragic Metrolink train crash, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Supervisor Antonovich’s motion to support a public/private Victims Assistance Fund to provide the financial support necessary for the families of the victims.
“It is imperative that immediate assistance be provided to these families who are suffering financial and emotional hardship,” said Supervisor Antonovich.
The motion directs the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to work directly with the Metrolink CEO and Chair, and the Ventura County CEO and Chair on the Victims Assistance Fund to establish a public/private assistance fund.
