Villaraigosa's New Musical: "Nine to Ten" By Walter Moore, Candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles, WalterMooreForMayor.com September 10, 2008 You may have heard that Dolly Parton has written a new muscial, now showing at the Ahmason Theater, based on her movie "9 to 5." But you probably don't know about the new musical based on Villaraigosa's typical workday: "Nine to Ten." There is a terrific article in the L.A. Weekly about how much -- or how little -- time Villaraigosa actually spends working, as opposed to flitting from one photo-op to the next. Reporter Patrick McDonald obtained Villaraigosa's calendar for the past 10 weeks or so, and calculated that he only spends only about 11% of each workday actually working, here in L.A., on City business. You know what they call a guy who works 11% of the day in the private sector? "FIRED." I did a public records request a few months ago for Villaraigosa's calendars for several years. I'll scan it and post it next week. You really have to see it to believe it. In the meantime, if you haven't contributed yet, this is REALLY the time to do it. All I need is about another $17,000 to qualify for matching funds. That means a guaranteed spot in the televised mayoral debates. You get me in a televised debate with Villaraigosa, and I WILL win this election. We're talking Godzilla vs. Bambi. So break out the plastic or checkbook, would you? Click here to contribute. |
